'Hungry' PSG will 'stay humble' after back-to-back Champions League triumphs

Desire Doue insisted Paris Saint-Germain are hungry for more glory after they clinched their second straight Champions League crown.

Doue was among the PSG heroes as the French champions successfully defended their European title by beating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at the Puskas Arena.

PSG became the second team this century to win the Champions League in back-to-back campaigns, after Real Madrid.

Doue, who starred as PSG swept Inter aside 5-0 in the 2025 showpiece, calmly slotted away his penalty in the shoot-out, which came after 120 minutes of tense action in which Ousmane Dembele's spot-kick cancelled out Kai Havertz's early opener.

And the 20-year-old insists PSG have even greater ambitions.

"We are so, so proud. So happy, so grateful, because it was a tough game against a very good team, so we have to congratulate [Arsenal] because they had a really good season," he told TNT Sports.

"But we have to celebrate as a team, as a family – we deserve it. Look at the crowd, our family. I want to say thank you. I had a prayer, to win the Champions League again, and I’m so happy.

"We have to stay humble also. It's crazy, but we're going to work more, we are a hungry team and we know we have ambitions – next season, we have to go again."

Luis Enrique, meanwhile, has now won all three of the Champions League finals he has contested.

"Luis Enrique is a magic man, he fights for us, we fight for him," said Illia Zabarnyi, who came on as a second-half substitute. "It's unbelievable."
