VAR check takes nine minutes in Serie A
Daniel Ciofani scored the winner from the penalty spot for Frosinone in the 103rd minute after farcical VAR scenes in Serie A.
Frosinone beat Parma 3-2 in Serie A thanks to a penalty awarded after a VAR check that took nine minutes.
The sides were tied at 2-2 at the Benito Stirpe when Massimo Gobbi fouled Luca Paganini in Parma's penalty area in added time.
But farcical scenes followed as referee Gianluca Manganiello examined video replays at length before finally confirming the decision midweek.
Despite the long wait to take the penalty, Daniel Ciofani stepped up to beat Luigi Sepe from 12 yards, earning Frosinone's first home win of the season.
But Marco Baroni's men are still facing relegation from Serie A as they are 19th in the table with eight games remaining, eight points from safety.
