Zlatan set to be Galaxy's next star after Manchester United release
LA Galaxy is reportedly on the verge of signing Sweden great Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been released by Manchester United.
Manchester United has terminated Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract with immediate effect amid mounting speculation the veteran striker is on the verge of joining Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.
According to the LA Times, the Swedish striker is on the verge of completing a deal at the club, following in the footsteps of the likes of Stephen Gerrard, David Beckham, Robbie Keane and Ashley Cole.
After the announcement from Manchester United, Ibrahimovic, who scored 17 goals in 33 matches for the club - helping it to win the UEFA Europa League in 2017 - paid tribute to the Red Devils in typically bombastic fashion.
It is understood Ibrahimovic will make his debut in the keenly-anticipated Los Angeles derby match against LAFC on Sunday 1 April.
