Manchester City seals Stones signing
John Stones has sealed a move to Manchester City from Everton on a six-year deal.
Manchester City confirmed the signing of centre-back John Stones from Everton on a six-year deal.
Everton accepted a bid believed reportedly worth $A75 million, having knocked back a $67 million bid from Chelsea last Summer, and rejecting a transfer request from the player himself.
"It's an ambitious club with a great manager so I can't wait to get stuck in," Stones said. "I know it will be tough getting a place in this team, but I'm determined to become the best player I can be and help us to success."
Stones's first club, Barnsley, will receive a portion of the transfer fee.
According to the BBC, Everton has had a $20 million bid for Swansea defender Ashley Williams accepted.
