When Zlatan attacks...his own team-mates
Combustible PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has proven over the years he can be just as dangerous to unsuspecting team-mates as he can to tiring defences.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is again the talk of the football world in the wake of revelations by his ex-AC Milan team-mate, Thiago Silva, that he threw fellow firebrand Gennaro Gattuso into a bin having been riled up by his equally combustible then team-mate.
The news will come as no surprise to those of us who have kept a keen eye on the Swedish star's behaviour over the years and lets face it, it's practically impossible not to. When Zlatan isn't destroying the world's best defences with his sublime football talent, he's often literally destroying team-mates with his equally proficient martial arts skills.
Take a look.
Cassano kick:
Ibrahimvoc stole the show during this post match interview with his AC Milan team-mate Antonio Cassano in 2011.
Wilhelmsson kick
Sweden training is a blast when Zlatan is around. just ask Christian Wilhelmsson who playfully kicked out at Ibra and received a 'playful' kick in return.
Strasser kick
AC Milan young gun Rodney Strasser didn't seem overjoyed after Zlatan aimed his right peg at his shoulder in 2010. He did have the good sense not to retaliate though.
Gym work
Zlatan's idea of motivation during a gym session is to hit a team-mate with a stick. In this clip PSG midfielder Lucas Moura tries to do crunches as Zlatan hits his stomach with a stick and uses his voice for added motivation.
Van der Wiel spat
At half-time of PSG's January match against Troyes, a fired-up Zlatan told PSG team-mate Gregory van der Wiel: “Listen, play as I tell you and everything will be fine,” according to a report in the Mirror. Van der Wiel told the Swede to 'f*** off', as the skirmish threatened to escalate, before Ibra-whisperer of some renown, Thiago Silva, stepped in to quell the situation. Flare-ups of this nature are nothing new and this one came a particularly erm, tense time. PSG led 3-0 in a match it would go on to win 9-0 and seal the Ligue 1 title. For his part, Ibra put the scuffle behind him to finish the day with four goals. Van der Wiel left the ground early.
