Louis van Gaal's side were pitted against the Danish champion in Monday's draw in Nyon, having exited the UEFA Champions League after a 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg on Matchday 6.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will meet Augbsurg of the Bundesliga in its tie, while Borussia Dortmund will meet FC Porto, which was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League after a defeat to Chelsea in its final group game.

Holder Sevilla faces Molde, while Gary Neville's Valencia will face Rapid Vienna and Tottenham Hotspur takes on Paulo Sousa's Fiorentina in a repeat of last season's tie at the same stage of the competition.

Fenerbahce will meet Locomotiv Moscow, Anderlecht takes on Greek champion Olympiacos, Sparta Prague faces Krasnodar, Sion plays against Braga and Villarreal meets last season's semi-finalist Napoli.

Turkish champion Galatasary will face Lazio, Shakhtar Donetsk was drawn against Schalke, Marseille takes on Athletic Bilbao, Sporting CP meets Bayer Leverkusen and Saint-Etienne takes on Basel, whose St Jakob stadium will host the final.

The first legs will take place on 18 February, with the returns scheduled for 25 February.
