Saracens scrape into Champions Cup last eight
Wasps beat Ulster to help Saracens into the last eight of the European Champions Cup.
Saracens squeezed into the quarter-finals of the European Champions Cup as they were done a favour by Premiership rival Wasps.
Saracens won a second successive European title last season with victory over Clermont Auvergne in the final.
Despite a 62-14 win over Northampton Saints, Saracens were in danger of being eliminated having only managed to finish second behind Clermont in Pool 2.
Ulster's 26-7 defeat to Wasps secured Saracens' place in the last eight, their domestic rival keeping their own slim hopes of qualification alive thanks to tries from Guy Thompson, Tom Cruse, Willie Le Roux and Jake Cooper-Woolley.
Saracens progress as one of the three best runners-up but will hope for much more consistent performances in the knockout rounds.
