Bristol City keeps play-off dream alive
Bristol City scored a crucial 2-1 win at Millwall to keep alive its hopes of promotion to the English Premier League.
Lee Gregory put the home side in front in the 41st-minute, only for Bristol to hit back late in the match, first through Jamie Paterson in the 76th-minute, then Famara Diedhiou five minutes later.
The win moved Bristol to within one point of sixth-placed Derby, which plays its game in hand against Swansea on Thursday morning (AEST).
A win for Frank Lampard's men would all but secure a play-off spot, while a loss would ensure a thrilling final round of matches on Sunday (AEST), in which Middlesbrough and Bristol City would both be hopeful of sneaking into the top six.
In League 1 action, losses to Sunderland and Portsmouth, 2-1 to Fleetwood Town and 3-2 to Peterbrough respectively, consigned both teams to the play-offs.
