Sports Burst – Ronaldo’s Bernabeu Betrayal
Ronaldo threatens Madrid move, Donnarumma dilemma, and Dani Alves advice
By Tim Stannard
1) Portuguese press report Bernabeu betrayal for Ronaldo
Merciful Zeus, the summer months are supposed to be about dusting off those video-refereeing topics and pretending to have heard of Brazilian midfielders moving to Sevilla with sage, nodding head movements.
Instead, each day has been full of Boom, Boom, Shake the Room moments. Most of those have revolved around Cristiano Ronaldo, whose week began with Spanish prosecutors raising a case for tax fraud against the Real Madrid man. It has ended with even more drama. Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid. Toast. Dropped.
That’s what Portuguese paper, A Bola is claiming on Friday reporting that Ronaldo feels that he has not received the backing of the club, perhaps after reading a story in the Spanish press that media outlets had been asked to remove all references to Real Madrid – including images – in relation to the tax fraud story.
The decision from a footballer about to kick off in the Confederations Cup is “irreversible”, the club has been told and Real Madrid are generally freaking out. The summer is set to be a steamy one. Oh yes.

2) Milan’s Donnarumma dilemma
Another club in freak out mode on Friday is AC Milan, whose plans for total world domination through Andre Silva has been dented a little by the previous day’s announcement by Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent, Mino Raiola, that is client will not renew a contract set to expire in 2018.
This ultimatum leaves three possibilities. Go back to the negotiating table, cash in on Donnarumma now or wait until the footballer becomes a free agent next year. The leader of the rather important Milan Ultras would prefer option three, but with the 18-year-old been benched and stuck in the naughty corner. “The person that had kissed [Milan’s] badge in our area of the stadium after the match against Juventus,” fumed Giancarlo Capelli to Corriere dello Sport.

3) Lacazette left at Lyon as Alves urges Dybala departure
The drama doesn’t end there…TRANSFER TRACKER TIME! First up, a deal that is now OFF. An agreement for Alexandre Lacazette to move from Lyon to Atletico Madrid has fallen through due to FIFA’s transfer ban on the La Liga club. A sticking point, if ever there was one.
Manchester United and Juventus are poking around Andre Gomes who did not exactly get the finest of starts to his Barcelona career last season. Meanwhile, one man comedy chaos machine, Dani Alves, has sparked a whole new rumor by saying that Paolo Dybala will need to leave Juventus if the forward is to progress as a player.
4) Fowler leads way in Wisconsin wonder
Golf time! Stay with us. Day two of men walking around Wisconsin is upon us. And the person who did this best on the first day whilst hitting a ball with metal composite club is Rickie Fowler, who admitted himself that it was one of the quieter moments of his sporting life. "You don't get many rounds at the U.S. Open that are stress-free," chuckled the California man.
Fowler currently has a one-shot lead over the rest of the chasing pack, which does not include Phil Mickelson or Tiger Woods, who are both absent for very different reasons.
