Gareth Southgate Confirmed As England Manager
The Football Association has confirmed that Gareth Southgate is the new England manager on a permanent basis.
Gareth Southgate has been appointed England boss on a full-time basis, the Football Association (FA) has confirmed.
The 46-year-old was appointed interim boss of the Three Lions in September following the departure of Sam Allardyce, who managed just one match before he was caught up in a newspaper sting relating to alleged corruption in football.
England have won two and drawn two of their four fixtures under Southgate's stewardship and he has done enough to convince the FA that he should be given the job permanently.
