England vs Wales
The clash of the weekend! Whoever wins this should win the 2016 Six Nations title.
Is it England's year to return to the big time? Four years without a title and all of a sudden they are sitting in pole position with two games to go. If they can squeeze a win against Wales, France should be easy the following week. Make no mistake Wales are on form in their own style. They haven't played spectacularly so far but they are doing what needs to be done to grind down teams and get the points on the board.
The return of the Human bulldozer Manu Tuilagi will give Wales another thing to worry about and on paper strengthens England. Many people are saying that England have to change their style to accomodate Tuilagi but Eddie Jones doesn't agree.
Scotland V France
In theory France could go second in the 6 Nations if England get a good beating from Wales and France score some serious points against a frustratingly inconsistent Scotland. It's a long shot but the 6 Nations is tighter than a prop forwards rugby shirt. Anything can happen!
Scotland at home with nothing to lose is a dangerous day at the office for Noves and his experimental French team. Rebuilding is a common thread here as Noves is just beginning his journey and Vern Cotter is nearly 2 years into his project of free flowing expansive rugby.
Cotter is very confident that his Scotland are becoming the team that he has been planning. I'd love to see it but a good win against Italy isn't a sign that you will be world champions in a few years. Confidence is great but it needs to be transferred into regular wins not just one in the last nine in the 6 Nations. Hogg has become one of the shining lights that are reaching their peak in Scotland.
France have suddenly become a team of people that remembered that they are a rugby nation, even if they are using a Fijian to get that spark through Vrimi Vakatawa. Electricly quick, powerful, likes to get involved in the action and fresh as a daisy without having a club to play for like the rest of the 6 Nations players. The most exciting 7's convert I've seen for a while.

Ireland v Italy
Not your normal bottom of the table clash but that's what we've got this year. Ireland with only one point from a possible 6 in the last 3 rounds but this weekend's game can't do much other than get them to fourth and possibly third, if the following week against France goes well too. I'll be looking for a refreshed and youthful Ireland throwing caution to the wind and enjoying their rugby. I haven't seen Ireland enjoy playing since last 6 Nations. They look stagnant, stressed and going nowhere. The World Cup was a disaster with flashes of genius but this 6 Nations has been even worse. Time to freshen a few things up Joe!! Show us what your made of!
