Following the uproar caused by Gonazalo Higuain's departure to Juventus last week, Napoli fans were given something to smile about on Monday with the news Poland international Arkadiusz Milik had joined the club on a five-year deal for a reported fee of $33.5 million.
The 22-year-old striker makes his way to the Serie A runners up from Ajax, where he notched up 21 goals in last season's Eredivisie, finishing out as the division's third top scorer, and provided seven assists.
Milik partnered Robert Lewandowski up front in a 4-4-2 system during Poland's Euro 2016 campaign, and despite The White Eagles inability to rack up high scoring tallies, the man brought in to fill Higuain's big boots acquitted himself well and gained even more admires across the higher-profile European leagues.
The Polish frontman seems eager to distance himself from his Argentinian predecessor, opting against the number 9 shirt left available by Higuain in favor of 99.
