Nick McFadden Recovering From Surgery
Superstock 600 Racer On The Mend After Collarbone Surgery
MotoAmerica Press Office
M4 medAge Suzuki rider Nick McFadden suffered a broken right collarbone last weekend at Road America and yesterday he went under the knife of noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. Tom Bryan in San Gabriel, California to have the collarbone plated.
"I was able to easily access the fracture, contour the titanium plate and achieve a perfect repair," said Dr. Bryan after the surgery.
M4 medAge Suzuki team physician and medAge founder Dr. Laura Ellis added, "Dr. Tom Bryan came highly recommended and has many years experience getting injured riders back on the track. He understands the need for a strong repair and that's what Nick got."
Surgery went well 😄! Thank you to Dr. Ellis for getting me out here to the west coast and making sure everything was set up for me to get fixed up as soon as possible. Also a big thank you to Dr. Bryan for fitting me in his schedule so I can start healing back up. We'll be back at the track soon 👍🏻 A post shared by Nick McFadden (@nickmcfadden16) on Jun 7, 2017 at 4:55pm PDT
"I'm relieved to be fixed," said McFadden, who is currently fourth in the Superstock 600 point standings. "Dr. Bryan has taken care of many of my fellow racers so I know he is one of the best. I look forward to getting back on the bike as soon as possible."
