Jake Gagne will get another crack at the World Superbike Championship this weekend in Qatar, the Californian set to ride the Red Bull Honda CBR1000RR SP2 in the season finale in Doha.
Gagne has ridden for the team twice this season, first as a replacement rider for Nicky Hayden at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and again as a fill-in rider for the injured Stefan Bradl at Magny-Cours in France. This will be Gagne’s first visit to the 3.2-mile Losail Circuit and will also mark the first time he’s raced a Superbike under the lights as the races will be held on Friday and Saturday night.

“I'm so excited to have another race on the World Superbike Fireblade,” said Gagne, who races for the Broaster Genuine Chicken Honda team in the MotoAmerica Superbike Series. “A huge thank you goes to Honda and Ten Kate for thinking of me again and giving me another great opportunity. Last time out in France was a big learning weekend for me and I want to keep the forward momentum rolling. Qatar will be a new track for me, but I can't wait to start turning laps. I really want to finish the year strong and keep learning.”
