Walter Zenga’s contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers has officially been terminated following a string of bad results that sees the Molineux outfit languishing in 18th in the league table.
The former Italy international succeeded Kenny Jackett, who was dismissed following a takeover by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International.
Prior to taking charge of the Championship side, Zenga had managed the likes Sampdoria, Steaua Bucharest and Red Star Belgrade, and before making his move to the midlands coached Al-Shaab in the United Arab Emirates.
Replacing the 56-year-old is Rob Edwards, who will act as the interim coach alongside the club’s under-23 manager, Scott Sellars.
