2016 UTSA Football Team Preview | #BeARoadRunner
Frank Wilson is ushering in a new era in San Antonio as the Roadrunners look to put 2015's disappointments behind them.
Frank Wilson was appointed head coach back in January to bring fresh ideas to the table to reinvigorate a program that slumped to a lackluster 3-9 overall record in 2015.
Players To Watch
In Michael Egwuagu, Jarveon Williams and Marcus Davenport, the Roadrunners possess three stellar defense players.
Manning the last line of defense last season, Egwuagu tallied up an impressive 62 tackles and three interceptions.
Williams prepares for his final campaign as a running back with the San Antonio program and will be looking to add to a legacy that includes becoming the first ever 1000-yard rusher in the school’s history. His record stands at 1,042 yards to date.
Last but not least, Davenport is a bright prospect worth keeping an eye on. The towering DE earned an honorable mention at the All-Conference USA accolades last year after notching up 49 tackles, four sacks, four QB hurries and two forced fumbles.
