JUCO QB De’Andre Johnson commits to the Florida Atlantic Owls, just one day after Lane Kiffin is introduced as head coach.

Johnson was dismissed from Florida State in the summer of 2015 after video surfaced of him punching a woman.

The Jacksonville, Florida native transferred to East Mississippi Community College, the subject of the Netflix documentary “Last Chance U,” but sat out in 2015.

Johnson finished the 2016 season at EMCC with 2,646 yards, 26 touchdowns, 834 rushing yards on the ground, and tacked on five rushing touchdowns.

The former “Mr. Football” in the state of Florida, fielded offers from the likes of Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, and Miami (FL), as a high school signal caller.

With three years of eligibility on the table, Johnson will make his way to Boca Raton in January.

Johnson's younger brother Tyreke, is an elite Safety prospect in the class of 2018.
