In football-crazy Indonesia, many harbour dreams of turning professional. Not many can make the cut in the competitive field, but their love for football never dies.
Setio Pramono is one such figure, who has now turned his undivided attention towards Liverpool. So how much does the 23-year-old love the Reds? beIN SPORTS finds out...
Why is football your number one sport?
I love football and had a dream to become a footballer for the Indonesia national team, but due to various reasons, I could not reach my dream. Hence, I decided to give up on my dreams and instead participate as a fanatic fan.
Which club do you support and why?
I really liked Michael Owen as a kid. It was a nickname given to me, perhaps due to my small physique. That was when I started to follow Liverpool. But it was after the 'Miracle of Istanbul' when Liverpool came from three goals down to win the Champions League that made me fell in love with the Reds. Plus, while in school, my friends and I enjoy having a banter about the various clubs we support. After that, they could only say good things about my club. From then, I was sure Liverpool would be the only club that I wanted to supported.
What do you make of the current Liverpool squad?
Liverpool are strong in offence, especially after the purchase of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mohamed Salah. But the defence is still a suspect, with no one able to fill the void since Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel. Still, Liverpool are the best team in my heart!
Was it a wise choice to keep Philippe Coutinho against his wishes?
It might not be a bad choice, because he is a good asset to have. We can't lose another player like him, just like when we sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona years ago. Liverpool need to keep him along with Sadio Mane, Salah and Firmino in order to challenge for trophies.
Will you ever miss a Liverpool game?
I always try to watch Liverpool games and I will feel guilty if I don't watch the live games on television. I will miss out on the tension of the game if I don't watch it. Usually, I will find time to go to match screenings with the official Indonesia Liverpool fan club, BigReds, if not I will watch it at home.
