Eighth seed Han eliminated in Nanchang
Inclement weather led to Kurumi Nara's match being postponed, but Han Xinyun missed out on a quarter-final berth at the Jiangxi Open.
Eighth seed Han Xinyun suffered a 3-6 6-4 6-2 defeat to Duan Yingying in the second round of the Jiangxi Open on Thursday.
Han took advantage of the two break points that came her way to seize an early advantage, but Duan forced a decider by coming out on top in a second set that saw seven breaks of serve.
Duan comfortably saw out the match to set up a quarter-final with the winner of second seed Kurumi Nara's match with Chang Kai-chen, which was postponed due to rain.
Misa Eguchi advanced with a 6-4 6-2 win over Zhu Lin, and her last-eight opponent will be Liu Fangzhou after she overcame Jang Su-jeong 6-4 6-3.
