Walker replaces Williams in Wales squad
Ospreys wing Eli Walker will replace Liam Williams in Wales' Rugby World Cup squad after the latter suffered a foot injury.
Wales have called up Ospreys wing Eli Walker to replace the injured Liam Williams for the remainder of the Rugby World Cup.
The quarter-finalists have been beset by injuries during the pool stage of the tournament so far with Hallam Amos, Leigh Halfpenny, Rhys Webb, Cory Allen and Scott Williams all having been ruled out.
Liam Williams' exit comes after their 15-6 defeat to Australia on Saturday after the back – who also suffered a concussion against England – picked up a foot injury in the closing stages at Twickenham.
Walker – who has one previous cap – was originally named in Warren Gatland's 31-man squad for the tournament but was released due to an hamstring problem.
However, he has since recovered and will go straight into contention for Saturday's last-eight clash with South Africa at Twickenham.
