Netherlands continue speed skating dominance as Nuis wins men's 1,500m gold
Netherlands grab gold & silver in men's 1,500m speed skating event
The Netherlands continued their domination in speed skating as Kjeld Nuis won gold in the 1,500m event on Tuesday evening.
This is the first ever Olympic medal for the 28-year old and adds to the 1,500m title he won at the World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships in Gangneung in 2017.
Nuis who won the event with a time of 1:44.01 is joined by compatriot Patrick Roest on the podium who finished second with a time of 1:44.86, whilst South Korean youngster Kim Min-Seok picked up bronze.
