Ireen Wust wins gold to become most successful Olympic speed skater
Dutch skater becomes the most successful Olympic speed skater with 1,500m gold
Dutch skater Ireen Wust has become the most successful speed skater in Olympic history after winning gold in the 1,500m event on Monday evening.
The 31-year old picked up a silver medal on day 1 of the Pyeongchang games and added to that, picking up her 10th games medal with a winning time of 1:54.35. Second place was Japanese skater Miho Takagi who was just +0.20 behind the winning time, whilst Marrit Leenstra of Holland completed the podium coming in with an overall time of 1:55.26.
