Canada's Samuel Girard won the Olympic men's 1,000m short-track speedskating title after a mid-race pile-up cost home hope Lim Hyo-jun a shot at a second gold on Saturday.
Girard, 21, finished in 1min 24.650sec, ahead of the USA's John-Henry Krueger, who picked up the silver clocking 1:24.864.
South Korea's Seo Yi-ra took the bronze after jumping back up following the spectacular crash which took three of the five starters off the ice.
Lim was tucked behind the leaders when backmarker Sandor Liu of Hungary move up for an attack. A tangle of legs followed and Liu, Lim and Seo shot off the ice, with the Hungarian penalised.
Liu, who won Korea's first gold at the Games with victory in the 1,500m a week ago, got back on the ice to finish fourth.
