Boe! Norwegian ace guns to first biathlon gold
Norway's Johannes Thingnes Boe outshone his French rival Martin Fourcade to seal his first Olympic title in the men's 20km individual biathlon at the Pyeongchang Winter Games on Thursday.
The 24-year-old timed 48min 3.8sec to beat Slovenia's Jakov Fak, with Dominik Landertinger of Austria in the bronze-medal position.
Army officer Fourcade, who was seeking a French-record fourth Olympic title after winning the pursuit on Monday, finished fifth.
