Juventus Vs Tottenham- Champions League Preview- How to Watch Online, Live Streaming Information, Team news
Two of the form sides in European football will battle it out at Allianz stadium on Tuesday evening
Juventus will be confident of getting a positive result when they welcome a resurgent Tottenham Hotspur to the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday evening in their round of 16 first-leg match. As ever you can watch all of the action live and exclusively through beIN SPORTS Connect.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side is one of the form teams in Europe at the moment and is currently on an 11 game winning streak in all competitions. Whilst the Juve backline has been watertight during the run, only conceding one goal during that period. Thanks in part to keeper Gianluigi Buffon who is taking part in his last ever Champions League as a Juventus player.
Whilst going forward, Juventus are currently the highest scoring side in Italy and possess the likes of Gonzalo Higuaín who has six goals in his last four games for his side. Whilst the creativity and flair provided by Paulo Dybala & Douglas Costa will certainly keep the Spurs defence on their toes.
Andrea Barzagli trained separately with a calf complaint. The veteran defender came on as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Florentina and will be assessed today to see if the 36-year old will be available on Tuesday evening. Whilst playmaker Paulo Dybala has yet to recover from a hamstring injury.
As for Spurs, they are coming into the game off the back of a 1-0 win in the North London Derby against bitter rivals Arsenal. Whilst Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in a similar vein of rich form and are currently on a 12 game undefeated streak, which also included a notable home victory over Manchester United and a last-gasp 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
Harry Kane is the form player for Tottenham and will be charged with breaking down the stubborn Juventus backline. Fresh from scoring the winner against Arsenal, the English international was in bullish mood ahead of the visit to Turin. "Massive game but that's what you look forward to as a player. You want to test yourself against the best and Juventus have been amazing in the Champions League recently, so looking forward to it."
One player not joining the squad for the trip to Italy is Belgian international Toby Alderweireld. Having returned to first-team action for the first time in three months in the 2-0 FA Cup replay win over Newport County, it was hoped that Alderweireld would be in contention for both the Arsenal & Juventus games. However, Alderweireld has been told to stay back and focus on his fitness with the aim of being fully fit for the second leg at Wembley.
Juventus have never played Spurs in a competitive game, and the match at the Allianz stadium promises to be a fascinating battle between two of the form sides in Europe. You can watch all the action exclusively on beIN SPORTS HD 11.
