Real Madrid and Besiktas qualify for the knockout stages, Liverpool miss out with last-gasp Sevilla goal

Beşiktaş sealed their place in the round of sixteen of the Champions League for the first time in their history following a 1-1 draw with Porto. Porto took the lead against the run of play after 29 minutes, Alex Telles combining with Ricardo Pereira from a set piece to tee up Felipe for a stunning first-time strike.
Besiktas scored a deserved equaliser just before halftime, Cenk Tosun doing brilliantly to set up attacking partner Anderson Talisca for a straightforward close-range finish.
Spartak Moscow 1 Maribor 1
A late goal from Jasmin Mesanovic cancelled out Ze Luis' 82nd-minute effort to secure Maribor a 1-1 draw at Spartak Moscow, leaving the Russians with it all to do in their final Champions League Group E match against Liverpool at Anfield.Spartak had seemingly claimed a vital victory when Ze Luis found the net, but just when they looked set to leap above Sevilla for at least a couple of hours, Mesanovic tapped in from close range to leave the Spaniards and Liverpool firmly in the driving seat.

The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán saw a six-goal thriller which saw Liverpool race into a three-goal lead thanks to a brace from Roberto Firmino and a diving header from Roberto Firmino. Jurgen Klopp's side capitulated in the second half, with Wissam Ben Yedder scoring two second-half goals before Guido Pizarro poked in from a corner to make sure that Liverpool was denied their spot in the next round at least till matchday six.
Man City 1 Feyenoord 0
Man City continued their 100% record in the Champions League this season but left it late against a spirited Feyenoord side. Raheem Sterling poked in the winner two minutes from time. The result means that City have secured top spot in the group and have extended their unbeaten start in the league to 19 games.
Napoli 3 Shakhtar Donetsk 0
Napoli kept their qualification hopes alive with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk. Three second-half goals gave the Neapolitans the points with Insigne (56' minutes), Zielinski (81' minutes), Mertens (83' minutes) all finding the back of the net. Napoli head to the bottom of the group Feyenoord knowing that if they better Shakhtar's result they will be in the last sixteen of the competition.
Monaco 1 RB Leipzig 4
German side RB Leipzig have guaranteed Europen football after the new year following an impressive 4-1 win in Monaco. Timo Werner was the hero grabbing a brace for his side. Leipzig head to already qualified Beşiktaş knowing that if they can better Porto's result they are in the knock out stages for the first time in their history.
Apoel Nicosia 0 Real Madrid 6
Real Madrid thumped Cypriot side 6-0 to confirm second place in Group H. The current Champions League winners hardly broke a sweat in the match, with goals from Modric (23'), Benzema (39', 45'+1 ), Nacho (41') and Ronaldo (49' minutes, 54' minutes) grabbing the goals for Los Blancos.
Borussia Dortmund 1 Tottenham Hotspur 2
Tottenham Hotspur guaranteed top spot with a 2-1 win away at Dortmund. Aubameyang opened the scoring on the 30-minute mark for the home side. But Spurs fought back in the second half with goals from Harry Kane and a 76th-minute winner from Son Heung-min, to seal a memorable Champions League night for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
