Gasquet breezes into European Open quarters

Richard Gasquet defeated Inigo Cervantes as the third seed progressed to the quarter-finals of the maiden European Open.
The Frenchman set the tone by breaking to love in the first game before wrapping up a 6-2 6-4 victory in an hour and 15 minutes.
Fourth seed Pablo Cuevas booked his spot in the last eight with a 6-4 7-6 (7-4) triumph over Jozef Kovalik in Antwerp.
Also through to the quarters is Andreas Seppi, who beat Robin Haase 7-5 7-5.
The remainder of Wednesday's matches were first-round ties, which saw wins for Gilles Simon, Taylor Fritz and Steve Darcis.
