Bencic, Radwanska to meet in Tokyo final
Belinda Bencic and Agnieszka Radwanska will contest Sunday's Toray Pan Pacific Open final.
WTA rising star Belinda Bencic booked her spot in the Toray Pan Pacific Open final after upstaging top seed Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets on Saturday.
Bencic was too good for former world number one Wozniacki, as the 18-year-old Swiss starlet cruised to a 6-2 6-4 victory in Tokyo.
The eighth seed made the most of her break-point opportunities, converting four of 10 to tally her fourth consecutive win against last year's runner-up.
"It's amazing to be in the final," Bencic said in her on-court interview.
"The first time I played here was two years ago, and it was a huge tournament for me. It's really just beautiful here, so to make the final here is really exciting. I'm feeling very good right now."
Bencic, who will break into the WTA's top 10 for the first time if she lifts the title on Sunday, will face seventh-seeded Pole Agnieszka Radwanska in the decider.
Radwanska needed a little over an hour as she accounted for 2014 Australian Open finalist Dominika Cibulkova 6-4 6-1.
