Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool must strike a balance between being business-orientated and wanting to win trophies. Rodgers was replaced by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield this season, but during his three-year spell at the club worked under a so-called transfer committee, with set criterion about signing players. Rodgers can understand why so many voices were involved in signings, but felt the club weren't always after the best targets to win in the short term.
