Returning players boost Scotland ahead of key Samoa clash
John Hardie, Sean Maitland and Finn Russell are fit for Scotland's final pool fixture, while three other players have shaken off knocks.
Scotland have received positive news on the injury front, with a host of players passed fit for Saturday's crucial Rugby World Cup clash with Samoa.
Victory for Scotland at St James' Park would secure second spot in Pool B and a quarter-final meeting with either Wales or Australia.
Ross Ford and Matt Scott have been included in a side showing seven changes, despite suffering head knocks in defeat to South Africa last time out, while Jonny Gray (dead leg) has also been passed fit to play alongside brother Richie, who will earn his 50th cap.
John Hardie, Sean Maitland and Finn Russell all return from injuries and there are also recalls for Mark Bennett, Alasdair Dickinson and Ryan Wilson.
"Every Test match is a 'must-win' when you represent your country," said coach Vern Cotter.
"We've put in a huge amount of work to get us to this point, and our performances and commitment have put us in a position to qualify for the last eight."
Sean Lamont, meanwhile, could become only the second man to make 100 appearances for Scotland after being named on the bench.
Experienced back Lamont would join Chris Paterson in reaching three figures should he feature as a replacement.
