Triple-double king Westbrook inspires Thunder, Harden propels Rockets

Russell Westbrook posted his 15th triple-double of the season as the Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak, while James Harden's Houston Rockets trumped the Dallas Mavericks.
Westbrook continued his stellar season in Oklahoma City's 106-94 win over the Miami Heat in NBA action on Tuesday - the Thunder's fourth consecutive victory.
Harden put up 34 points as the Rockets soared past the Mavericks 123-107 in a feisty clash in Dallas.
The Boston Celtics also won, while the Utah Jazz edged the Los Angeles Lakers.
WESTBROOK: THE TRIPLE-DOUBLE KING
When the Thunder play, you are almost guaranteed to see a triple-double from Westbrook.
Westbrook scored 29 points and tallied 17 rebounds and 11 assists in the road win.
The Thunder are now 12-3 this season and 45-7 all-time when Westbrook posts a triple-double.
ROCKETS CLOSING IN ON RECORD
Led by Harden's big game, the Rockets improved to 13-2 in December.
With two matches remaining in the month, the Rockets are on the cusp of equalling a franchise record of 15 wins from November 1996.
The cellar-dwelling Mavericks were led by Harrison Barnes and his 21 points.
BRADLEY AND THOMAS LIFT CELTICS
Avery Bradley scored 23 points and Isaiah Thomas added 21 to help the Celtics hold off a determined Memphis Grizzlies team 113-103.
The Lakers, meanwhile, went down 102-100 to the Jazz.
WARRIORS BACK TO HOME COMFORTS
After three successive away games, the Golden State Warriors host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Clippers face the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs meet the Phoenix Suns among other games.
