Robinson wins NBA All-Star slam-dunk contest
Glenn Robinson III took out a disappointing slam-dunk contest during the NBA All-Star weekend.
Indiana Pacers guard Glenn Robinson III won the 2017 NBA All-Star slam-dunk contest with an emphatic display on Saturday.
Facing off against Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, the Phoenix Suns' Derrick Jones Jr. and Orlando Magic's Aaron Gordon, Robinson displayed some uncanny vertical leaping ability to run away with the competition.
Robinson toppled Jones, a little-known Suns forward, in the final.
Gordon, last year's star, looked sluggish while failing on most of his dunk attempts.
Orlando's forward, who illuminated crowds last year in a controversial runner-up finish, sustained a bone bruise earlier this month and it showed.
In all, this year's dunk contest was a huge letdown compared to 2016's enthralling event.
