The NBA is looking into speeding up NBA games, specifically in the final two minutes, to make sure they maintain their viewership.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Thursday he would be willing to update the rules of the game, especially to keep younger viewers watching.
"It's something that I know all of sports are looking at right now, and that is the format of the game and the length of time it takes to play the game," Silver said.
"Obviously people, particularly millennials, have increasingly short attention spans, so it's something as a business we need to pay attention to."
Silver said the league will look at how many timeouts each team is allotted in a game and in the final two minutes.
According to Silver, the NBA's competition committee will look into the matter, then pass them to the league's full board of owners.
