The New York Knicks ended their slide with victory over the San Antonio Spurs, while the Detroit Pistons came back to beat the Toronto Raptors.

Carmelo Anthony starred as the Knicks snapped a four-game losing streak by upstaging the Spurs 94-90 in NBA action on Sunday.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's late three-pointer completed Detroit's rally in a thrilling 102-101 win on the road in Toronto.

There were also wins for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Sacramento Kings.

KNICKS GIVE FANS SOMETHING TO CHEER ABOUT

Life as a Knicks fan has not been easy in recent weeks.

If seven defeats in nine games was not bad enough, then there's the fallout from the feud between Knicks owner James Dolan and former forward Charles Oakley.

Oakley has been banned indefinitely from Madison Square Garden after he was ejected and arrested following an altercation with a group of security guards.

But thanks to Anthony's 25 points, Knicks supporters finally had something to cheer about.

San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard posted 36 points for the Spurs, who missed the chance to secure an NBA-record 20th consecutive winning season.

CALDWELL-POPE LIFTS PISTONS

A go-ahead three-pointer with 13.2 seconds remaining saw the Pistons to victory.

Caldwell-Pope - who finished with 21 points - was the hero as he capped a 16-point fourth-quarter comeback against the Raptors.

All-Star DeMar DeRozan had the chance to win the game with 0.9 secs left but his shot hit the rim.

TIMBERWOLVES UPSTAGE BULLS

Andrew Wiggins scored 27 points as the Timberwolves saw off the short-handed Chicago Bulls 117-89, while the Kings defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 105-99.

WARRIORS ON THE ROAD AGAIN

The Golden State Warriors wrap up their three-game stand on the road with a trip to the Denver Nuggets on Monday. The Spurs face the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder meet the Washington Wizards.
