Parker to defend WBO heavyweight title against Fury
Hughie Fury wants to start an era of domination with cousin Tyson by beating Joseph Parker for the WBO heavyweight title.
Joseph Parker will defend his WBO heavyweight title against Hughie Fury in Auckland on May 6.
New Zealander Parker defeated Andy Ruiz on points in December to claim the belt, which was vacated by Fury's cousin and former heavyweight champion Tyson following his break from boxing.
Parker is yet to be beaten in 22 professional fights, with 18 of his victories coming via knockout, but Fury represents a dangerous challenge having himself won all 20 of his bouts.
And Fury has set his sights on he and Tyson ruling the heavyweight division, saying: "I do rate Parker as one of the best heavyweights at the minute but I believe I am the best heavyweight out there.
"Tyson has already done it, I'm the next one in line. Trust me I'm bringing that title back. Whatever he brings I've got an answer for it.
"I'll win this title and then Tyson can come back and we'll rule the heavyweight division together."
Parker's promoter, David Higgins, added: "Joseph loves fighting at home in front of his Kiwi fans, so we really wanted to give him that opportunity against a truly dangerous, gifted young opponent in Hughie Fury."
