Stuttgart, Rosmalen finals to finish on Monday following rain
Nicolas Mahut forged ahead against Gilles Muller, while Dominic Thiem and Philipp Kohlschreiber reached a tie-break prior to rain on Sunday.
The finals of the Stuttgart Open and Rosmalen Grass Court Championships will be completed on Monday after rain prevented both ATP World Tour events from being brought to a close as scheduled.
Dominic Thiem and Philipp Kohlschreiber were involved in a first-set tie-break in Stuttgart when they were forced to leave the court for a third time on Sunday, the German holding a slender advantage at 3-2 with a mini-break.
Their match had initially been delayed by more than an hour and interrupted again after two service holds.
Further rain resulted in another suspension with Kohlschreiber 3-1 up the breaker and the players managed just one further point before it was determined that the court was not dry enough.
Nicolas Mahut moved to within one set of claiming a third title in four years in 's-Hertogenbosch before his final with Gilles Muller was also halted due to inclement weather.
Defending champion Mahut took the opening set 6-4 against an opponent seeking a maiden ATP World Tour title after three previous final defeats.
However, play was then suspended due to showers and it was subsequently announced that the match would resume the following morning.
