Mikhail Ryzhov, world silver medallist in 2013, is one of five Russian race walkers to have been handed a four-year doping ban by CAS.
Five Russian race walkers have been handed four-year doping bans by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The quintet, which includes 2013 World Championship silver medallist Mikhail Ryzhov, tested positive for EPO at the Saransk race walking centre on June 2, 2015.
Ryzhov, Ivan Noskov, Vera Sokolova and Denis Strelkov have been given four-year sanctions starting on July 15, 2016 and had their results from June 2 to July 15 of last year disqualified.
Elmira Alembekova's four-year suspension starts from 17 July 2016, with her results from June 2, 2015, to July 17 of the same year expunged.
The cases were referred to CAS as the All Russia Athletic Federation is suspended.
