Ivan Cleary's side never looked troubled as they scored six touchdowns in the big 34-point win over the Cardinals at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. 

Carolina will meet the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 after their 20-18 win over the New England Patriots earlier in the day. 

The Panthers held a 17-0 advantage after the first quarter, converting a field goal before scoring two touchdowns to assert their dominance early. 

Graham Gano knocked the field goal, with Ted Ginn Jr. scoring a touchdown with an incredible effort on their next possession, before Cam Newton found Corey Brown for an 86-yard touchdown. 

The Cardinals finally got on the board in the second quarter with a David Johnson 1-yard run for a touchdown, and managed to hold the Panthers scoreless to keep their hopes alive. 

Gano kicked another field goal following a stalled drive at the three-yard line, with Newton scoring on a 13-yard run for the Panthers' fourth touchdown of the game, opening up a 27-point advantage. 

Despite the Cardinals managing to score via Brandon LaFell from a touchdown catch and getting a two-point conversion, the Panthers ran all over their defence for the remainder of the game. 

Newton tossed another touchdown pass to seal the game with Mike Tolbert making a two-point conversion, before a Luke Kuechly interception led to another touchdown for the Panthers, with the final score ending 49-15 in the Panthers' favour.

Newton finished the game going 19-for-28 with 335 yards passing, 47 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns.
