Eagles WR Jeffery cleared for contact
AlshoJeffery's status for the clash with the Titans is still uncertain as the team has not yet made a decision about his availability.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been cleared for contact after recovering from shoulder surgery.
Jeffery went under the knife in February, but coach Doug Pederson said on Wednesday that he is closing in on a return.
His status for Week 4's game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, though, is still uncertain as the team has not yet made a decision about his availability, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Jeffery was listed as questionable against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, even though he was not fully cleared at the time.
The 28-year-old was activated from the physically unable to perform list in August but has been day to day since. Previous reports indicated he would miss only the first two weeks of the regular season.
Jeffery led all Eagles wide receivers with 789 receiving yards and nine touchdowns last season. He also paced the Eagles' pass-catchers in the postseason with 219 yards and three touchdowns.
