Reaction- Harry Kane pleased with performance against Panama
Harry Kane has revealed his joy at scoring a hat-trick to help England ease past Panama.
"Yeah fantastic, so proud of the boys we are just enjoying it being here. We know it's going to be tough, they started pretty well but we've been working on set-pieces and we've been working on the way we wanted to play and it's all coming together. It's a brilliant result obliviously fantastic to be through to do it in this way is brilliant."
Kane is now only the third England player to score a hat-trick tournament, joining Geoff Hurt and Gary Lineker in the record books. The match was Englands best ever result at a World Cup, but also saw Panama score their first ever goal with Felipe Baloy scoring a consolation. "It's been brilliant both sets of fans. That's what the World Cup is about, people coming together."
Still, Kane was quick to play down any suggestion could go all the way and win the World Cup, insisting that England have to focus on their game. "Yeah you have to believe, to achieve anything in life you have to believe. There is still a long way to go a lot of hard work to go but we have to stick togather and keep to our game plan."
