Ange reportedly to quit Socceroos in November
Ange Postecoglou will reportedly step down as Australia manager in November, irrespective of whether the Socceroos manage to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
According to the Herald Sun, Postecoglou will resign after the Socceroos' two-leg FIFA World Cup qualification play-offs next month.
The 52 year-old reportedly would have quit last month if Australia managed to secure automatic passage to the World Cup, but felt compelled to stay on and secure qualification.
The former Melbourne Victory coach gave no indication of resigning after Australia's tense 2-1 win over Syria on Tuesday night, but an un-named source close to the Socceroos camp reportedly confirmed he will be moving on in November.
After beating Syria, Australia will now face the fourth-placed CONCACAF nation in a two-legged play-off next month, wth the winner cementing a spot at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
