New York Red Bulls got off to a dream start, when Damien Perrinelle picked out Bradley Wright Phillips with a deft chip, who rounded the keeper to score in the seventh minute.

Things went from bad to worse for Chicago just four minutes later, when Sacha Kljestan got on the end of Tyler Adams' cross to doubled New York's lead.

Chicago came out determined in the second-half, carving out two early chances, but it would be New York's day after Daniel Royer made it 3-0 in the 70th minute, before Gonzalo Veron's cheeky chip made it four to round out a comfortable win.
