Rogic scores as Celtic romps towards perfection
Australia midfielder Tom Rogic was a key figure in Celtic's 5-0 rout of Partick Thistle, scoring his side's second goal in its quest for an unbeaten season.
The Hoops are one win away from an unbeaten season, with Rogic enjoying his second starting berth since returning on 7 May from a serious ankle injury, sustained against the same opponent.
While the Socceroos midfielder can thank the two posts and Leigh Griffiths's assist for his goal, the increased pitch time is expected to help press his claims for a spot in Australia coach Ange Postecoglou's Confederations Cup squad.
Rogic had a great chance to double his tally in the 89th-minute, getting on the end of a flowing team move, before firing his shot straight at replacement Partick 'keeper Matt Ridgers.
That goal would have merely iced the cake as celtic equalled its highest-ever points tally.
Another Australian, former Perth Glory midfielder Ryan Edwards, came off the bench for Partick late in the match.
