Celtic edges Partick in tough hit-out
Scottish champion Celtic maintained its winning start to the new season with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Partick Thistle.
For the second match in a row, Australia midfielder Tom Rogic started from the bench as Celtic looked for a fast start.
The Hoops dominated possession, but found it difficult to break down a stubborn home side.
The breakthrough arrived in the 24th-minute when Olivier Ntcham's shot thundered in off a deflection from captain Scott Brown.
Celtic will be back in action on Thursday, meeting Astana in the first leg of it's UEFA Champions League play-off tie.
