Currently on loan at AEK Athens, Araujo did little to impress his parent club Las Palmas with a blatant miss during the 1-0 win over Asteras Tripolis.

The 26 year-old miraculously failed to turn a goal-bound effort into an empty net from the goal line in the 12th minute. 

Instead of guiding the ball in with a simple header, Araujo opted for an acrobatic kick which sent the ball cannoning off the underside of the cross bar and back into the hands of Asteras Tripolis goalkeeper Giorgos Athanasiadis.

Luckily for Araujo, AEK went on to win the match 1-0, but the Argentine surely won't be living this shocker down any time soon.
