Wolverhampton sinks 10-man QPR
Paul Lambert tasted his first win in charge as Wolverhampton Wolves ended its nine-game winless with a 2-1 win over 10-man QPR.
Australia midfielder Massimo Luongo played the full 90 minutes QPR, but the writing was on the wall for his side when James Perch picked up a second yellow card in the 35th minute.
QPR held on with 10 men, but Wolves eventually found the breakthrough on the hour, when Dave Edwards fired Wolves ahead.
Helder Costa doubled Wolves' lead with a mazing run in the box, cutting in from the right and bamboozling the Rangers defence before firing the ball past Alex Smithies.
Joel Lynch pulled one back for Rangers in stoppage time, but it was all in vein as Wolverhampton gave itself breathing space from the relegation zone.
