New deals for Huddersfield Town trio

Tommy Smith, Jonathan Hogg and Rajiv van La Parra have all signed new three-year deals at Premier League club Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town confirmed first-team regulars Tommy Smith, Jonathan Hogg and Rajiv van La Parra have agreed new contracts at the club.

The trio have signed three-year deals to commit their futures to Huddersfield ahead of the club's first Premier League season, with Town retaining an option to extend the contracts by a further season.

New deals for Smith, Hogg and Van La Parra come after fresh terms for Chris Lowe and Elias Kachunga were secured last week, while head coach David Wagner has also agreed an extension.

"The new contracts for Tommy, 'Hoggy' and Rajiv are very important pieces of business for this club," Wagner said.

"All three players were so important to the team last season - key to the success we enjoyed - and will continue to be big players for us this season.

Huddersfield, which won promotion via a play-off win against Reading on penalties, gets its Premier League campaign under way at Crystal Palace on 13 August (AEST).
