Mooy named in EFL team of the season
Socceroos star Aaron Mooy has capped a stunning season with selection in the Championship team of the season.
Huddersfield's Australia midfielder Aaron Mooy has capped a stunning debut season in the EFL Championship by being named in the competition's Team of the Season.
The 26 year-old has excelled in England's second tier, since joining the Terriers on loan from parent club, Manchester City, at the beginning of the season.
Mooy is second in the Championship for total passes, with 2,786 from 39 games; fourth for chances created, with 83; and has won 74.2 per cent of tackles he has attempted, underlining his versatility in both attack and defence.
Aaron Mooy's impressive general stats:
Huddersfield's chances of securing an automatic promotion to the Premier League remain slim, the Terriers 10 points from second-placed Newcastle with a game in hand. They are well placed to qualify for the play-offs, which will give Mooy the opportunity to further impress his parent club ahead of the new season.
