Kewell takes charge of Crawley Town
Australia great and former Watford under-23 coach Harry Kewell gets his first crack at managing a senior side, after taking the reigns at English League Two side Crawley Town.
Kewell has reiterated his desire to take manage and the 38 year-old will now take charge of his first senior side after spending two seasons at the helm of Watford's under-23's side.
Crawley Town's director of football Selim Gaygunsuz hailed the former Leeds star's attitude after the club confirmed the appointment on Tuesday (AEST).
"During his interview Harry showed us great passion - that's needed to make this team move onwards," Gaygusuz said.
In his playing days Kewell enjoyed a decorated career in Europe, winning the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup with Liverpool, although the midfielder's playing time was often limited by injury.
With Kewell in charge, Crawley Town will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing season which saw the Reds narrowly escape relegation from England's fourth tier.
