Huddersfield stars hit back at Holloway
After sealing promotion to the Premier League, Huddersfield Town players had a cheeky dig at QPR boss Ian Holloway, who tipped the Terriers to be relegated at the start of the season.
Huddersfield Town came into the 2016-2017 season with little hope of promotion, but it was Ian Holloway's scathing assessment at the start of the season which stuck a nerve with manager David Wagner.
While working as a Pundit for Sky Sports back in August, Holloway gave Huddersfield little chance and questioned Wagner's experience as a manager.
"I haven't seen much progression from the club during the back end of last season. David Wagner is pretty inexperienced and if results turn, then they may struggle to turn things around," Holloway wrote in his column.
Huddersfield answered its critics, earning promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 45 years after a tense penalty shootout win over Reading on Tuesday (AEST).
Amid the post match celebrations, the players took a cheeky swipe at the QPR boss with this dressing room chant.
Wagner couldn't resist a dig at Holloway after the match either, saying 'By the way, Ian Holloway, all the best for next season. I know a lot of the pundits wrote us off at the start of the season."
